Frozen colors

After a long evening chasing the long-awaited northern lights at Diamond Beach in Iceland, I had given up and left all hope and headed for the car... but suddenly the night is illuminated as by an explosion of green and purple lights starting to dance there high in the sky. Being one of the most intense Northern Lights displays in years and also being my first time, it made watching this light show an experience I will never forget
