The Scent of Memory
A mother, a forgotten garden, and a fleeting connection with nature, captured through a decade of love, memory, and loss.
I wheeled my mother into the garden she once tended with her own hands. Though dementia had erased much of her memory and illness had weakened her body, she leaned toward a leaf as if recognizing its familiar scent. This image is part of my ten-year project, Mom, My Hero.
