Between Surface and Silence
A figure suspended between water and land, presence and disappearance. The river becomes an intimate space where the body seems to belong to the landscape itself.
Water is not merely the setting of the photograph, but becomes part of the figure itself. The body emerges and disappears into the river, while reflections, shadows and the movement of the surface continuously alter its perception.
The choice of black and white removes the natural colour of the landscape, directing attention toward the relationship between skin, water, light and texture. The scene is intentionally suspended: it does not describe a specific place, but a moment in which the figure seems to exist somewhere between presence and dissolution.
It is an image about the subtle boundary between being inside a landscape and becoming part of it.
