Meat

*MEAT* questions what happens when the human body is viewed through the logic of a commodity. Inspired by the absurdity of Jonathan Swift's *A Modest Proposal*, the project examines contemporary systems in which human value is increasingly connected to productivity, consumption and usefulness. By wrapping the human body in transparent foil and presenting it alongside animal flesh, bones and sounds of consumption, *MEAT* deliberately collapses the distinction between person, animal and product. The work asks how easily an individual can become an object when identity, individuality and humanity are stripped away. Through photography, video, sound and sculpture, the project transforms this question from an abstract social critique into a physical and sensory experience. *MEAT* ultimately confronts the viewer with the uncomfortable possibility that the commodification of the body is not an absurd future scenario, but a condition already embedded in everyday life.

MEAT is a multidisciplinary photographic project exploring the transformation of the human body into a commodity. The project combines photography, video, sound and sculpture to create an immersive environment in which the boundaries between human, animal and product become increasingly ambiguous.

The photographic series depicts a human body wrapped in transparent foil, concealing individual characteristics and reducing the figure to an anonymous form of flesh. Alongside the photographs, moving image, the sound of an animal consuming bones, a soft sculpture resembling meat and actual bones extend the imagery into physical space.

Originally presented as a gallery installation, MEAT is conceived as an evolving project rather than a closed photographic series. Its different elements work together to create a sensory encounter with the body as something
