An impressive leap. Rollerblading on the streets is a favorite sport of young people in Cuba. Cuba has beautiful beaches, some of which are ranked among the world's best. Cuban lobsters are affordable, and Cuban cigars are delicious. The streets of Old Havana are filled with vintage cars in vibrant colors like pink, purple, and yellow, exuding a sense of glamour and nostalgia. However, the majority of the Cuban population lives in poverty. The image of Cuba in late 2022 is not much different from Vietnam during the years of rationing from 1976 to 1986.
Only the sight of young, vibrant boys skateboarding on the streets can ignite hope for a better future for Cuba.
