Berlin, photoautomat
In 2004, two young people from Berlin renovated and then put back into operation an old black-and-white, analog ID photo machine. Their idea was such a success that they now operate nearly forty across the city. For Berliners, the retro car has become one of the defining symbols of the city's alternative culture. Friends, families, and partying groups squeeze into the small booths, and of course, you can't Photoshop or filter the finished pictures.
