A Sunday morning in "La LLoca".

The sculpture "The mother of the emigrant" also called "La lloca'l Rinconín" or "La muyerona" (from the Asturian "La loca del Rinconín" and "La mujerona"), is located at the end of the Gijón promenade and is a work by Ramón Muriedas Mazorra.

Although we do not see the famous work in these photos, many different inhabitants of the city and also tourists, alone or accompanied, usually come to it, not only to contemplate this beautiful statue but also to enjoy the views of the bay and the Cantabrian Sea.
