Praying at the gates of heaven.

I never asked him why, but it always seemed to me that he was praying at the gates of something greater than himself.

At one point I took a picture that led me to many thoughts: why was the young man reading in front of the church doors? The church as a powerful institution in front of a young person, or the young person in front of it. In my imagination I can only think of the obvious, that he does not go in front of the imposing, cold iron gates. So she wants to enter or asks for approval. A thousand reasons therefore come to mind, but I prefer to think that when the time comes, if we are indeed standing at the gates of heaven, may God take us by surprise.
